Eerste interview Aung San Suu Kyi sinds haar vrijlating

In her first interview since being released, the Burmese opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, has told the BBC's Alastair Leithead that she plans to listen to what the people of Burma want before taking her next steps.

She has already spoken to supporters and journalists at her party headquarters in Rangoon, saying she'll talk to Western nations about lifting sanctions if that's what the Burmese people want.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner has been detained for 15 of the past 21 years.
